Bill Brewer Director of Client Relations
Bill Brewer, Designed
Learning's director of client relations, has worked with Peter Block for the
past 14 years. He has held a variety of staff positions in marketing, public
relations, sales, training, instructional design and delivery for various
companies including Scripps Howard, Cincom Systems, and the Cincinnati Chamber
of Commerce. Before joining Designed Learning, Bill was with the Association for
Quality and Participation for close to ten years. While there, he was involved
in the School for Managing and Leading Change, served as editor of "News for a
Change" and "The Journal for Quality and Participation" and was actively
involved in the planning and delivery of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality
Award's Quest for Excellence.
Bill teaches consulting skills
and strategic communication in the School of Business at Miami University,
Oxford, Ohio. He received a B.A. from Otterbein College and his M.A. from Miami
University. His work with clients includes Horizon Blue Cross/Blue Shield of New
Jersey, National City Corp, Hubert Corporation, HP, eFunds, City of Virginia
Beach, Popeye's, and Lexis-Nexis, among others.
Bill is an energetic and
engaging presenter. He works to create highly interactive learning experiences
that allow participants to develop their personal and professional skills.
A popular speaker, Bill has spoken at OD Net's Annual Conference,
Linkage's OD Summit, National League of Cities Executive Conference, SHRM's
Southeast Annual Conference, and State of New Mexico's' SHRM Conference, among
others.
Bill is an avid bridge player
and is actively involved in local government serving as vice-chair on the City
of Oxford's Planning Commission and previously served as chair of the city's
Historic and Architectural Preservation Commission and was a member of the
City's Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee.
