Michael F. Cristiani
Michael has a rich Organization Development, Quality, and
Management Development and Training background. Half of his consulting career is
internal, half external. He has more than 14 years of experience as a manager
and internal consultant in these functions at McDonnell Douglas companies
engaged in information technology, communication systems, aerospace, and
electronics, as well as with Bausch & Lomb Surgicals medical and pharmaceutical
businesses. In addition, he has over a dozen years of experience with Fortune
500 clients in both the domestic and international arena as an external
consultant. As Managing Principal of Cristiani Consulting Group, Ltd., Michael
applies his expertise to serve the business and its people. He helps business
units/divisions cooperate and promotes teaming across organizational boundaries
(inter-group and intra-group collaboration), crafts talent development
(executive coaching, 360° feedback, leader development) and facilitates process
improvement (training in six sigma, change initiatives and performance teams).
His Designed Learning work includes conducting the full series of Flawless
Consulting Skills workshops as well as customized applications. Clients include
Boeing, Bank One, Corning, Lucent Technologies, AMOCO, Coca-Cola (Mexico),
Digital Equipment (Ireland), Maritz Travel, General American Life Insurance,
Wendys International, US Postal Service, Johnson & Johnson, TDL Group (Canada),
Shell, Lederle Labs, Bausch & Lomb, HP, REI, Kaiser Permanente, IBM Global
Services, Johnson Financial Group. Participants in Michaels workshops include
IT specialists, quality consultants, human resources, and operations management.
Michael earned a doctorate in Counseling Psychology and heads his own
independent consulting practice. In addition, he volunteers with the National
Conference for Community & Justice and is on the adjunct business faculty at the
University of Missouri at St. Louis, Maryville University, and St. Louis
University.
Michael connects with participants by linking examples from his real life
experiences in organizations to their business issues. His aim is to facilitate
the workshop to assure that learning takes place for each participant. He values
supporting people to engage their minds, hearts and hands at work, to serve the
business and themselves. Like all Designed Learning Affiliates he treats the
client organization and workshop participants as partners in creating a powerful
learning experience.
