Barry Morris, Ph.D.

Barry has combined his social work, organization development and human resource capabilities with his executive experience and created a consulting practice focused on the development of businesses, organizations and communities. Through engagement, strategic planning and alignment, organization development, and human resource management Barry strives to improve results and the meaningfulness of ones experience in organizations.

 

Barry is fulfilling his dream by living his values in the context of consulting and volunteer activities.  Barry is spreading his time consulting with businesses, social service and community organizations while volunteering his time and skills to various board and community development initiatives.  Barry is the President of Left Lane Consulting, LLC, an Organization Development and Human Resource Management Consulting practice with a range of for-profit and not-for-profit clients seeking to grow and improve.  He is very active in community development initiatives, including for example transforming an urban community center, building collaborative relations between doctors and nurses, bringing the arts to urban neighborhood children and their families. He is on the Board of Directors of Beech Acres Parenting Center and the Jewish Community Relations Council, and is past President and board member of Jewish Family Services. He also serves on the Careers Task Force for the School of Business Administration at Xavier University, where he previously served on the Advisory Council for the International MBA Program.

 

Barry has a PhD. in Organization Behavior and Development from Case Western Reserve University and a Masters Degree in Social Work from Ohio State University.  Barry most recently served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Organization Development for Chiquita Brands International, and was previously with Anheuser Busch Companies, and a principle of Performance Development Associates. 

 

In his spare time Barry spends time on his other passions; his family, his horses, dogs, learning, music and the arts.
