Beyond Reform in Health and Education
A Two Day Workshop with Peter Block and Paul Uhlig
Join us to explore innovative ways leaders create communities where real change is possible. The focus will be on building community inside institutions and in cities and neighborhoods.
Peter, along with thoracic surgeon Paul Uhlig, will discuss the structures and thinking that produce authentic transformation. Peter will explore what he has learned since “The Answer to How is Yes” and “Community: The Structure of Belonging” as well as “The Abundant Community”, co-authored with John McKnight were published. Paul will discuss new work in health care that is changing the way that care teams work together to improve quality and safety, and connect in more authentic and human ways with patients and families.
This experience is for managers and consultants interested in learning and change which both require a community to sustain. Since learning is a social phenomenon first and content delivery system second, the workshop utilizes these concepts in a highly interactive fashion.
